Missouri Governor Matt Blunt appointed Dan to the position of Missouri’s Chief Information Officer beginning on January 10, 2005. For the four year’s prior to that, Dan served under then Secretary of State Matt Blunt, in the capacity of Executive Deputy Secretary of State. Prior to that, Dan was Director of Administrative Services for the Department of Economic Development for four years. Before that, he served as Director of Administration for the MO Public Service Commission. Dan has also worked for the Department of Natural Resources, Missouri State Parks and for the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Dan holds a bachelors degree in Industrial Relations and a master’s degree in Public Administration.
