Jennifer Vandever

Jennifer Vandever is the Director of Academic Computing for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She holds a baccalaureate degree in Economics, a Master of Business Administration and will soon be awarded a Master’s degree in Education, all from SIUE. Jennifer’s focus is ensuring that various technologies utilized by SIUE serve as conduits between professors and students in support of the University’s educational goals. As the director of a key component of the University’s technological infrastructure, Jennifer is involved in many aspects of SIUE’s teaching mission and works with various academic departments and units in order to understand their contributions to the University’s educational philosophy. She also strives to ensure a balance between pedagogy and practical application in the implementation of technological support for the campus community. Having worked hand-in-hand with students, teaching faculty, and members of the administration, she understands the importance of maintaining a positive and open rapport with all populations.
